Following her admission as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW and the High Court of Australia in 1999, Carrie worked for litigation firms in Australia and the United Kingdom before founding Peterson Haines.

NECHAMA ZWIER

Nechama is an accomplished and passionate disputes lawyer and financial services compliance consultant. With years of experience running commercial, property and regulatory compliance litigation, as well as experience in financial services operational compliance and risk advisory, Nechama is well placed to provide clients with pragmatic and holistic legal advice with a strong focus on dispute resolution.

Prior to joining Peterson Haines, Nechama worked at some of Sydney and Melbourne’s most respected top tier law firms and has also been in-house at ASX listed firms as a financial services regulatory risk & operational compliance consultant. With a significant interest in compliance, this places Nechama with an advantage over other disputes lawyers. Nechama manages litigious matters from commencement to resolution.

Her skills include critical reasoning (deductive and inductive logic), technical legal review, document management in complex investigations and disputes, complex problem solving, strategic planning and she offers tactical solutions. Katherine is a passionate commercial disputes and commercial lawyer with experience in drafting commercial documents, shareholder disputes, property disputes, misleading and deceptive conduct, and contractual disputes. She has a drive to provide high quality legal expertise to her clients and excels in developing legal strategy to achieve favourable outcomes. Her passions lie in protecting and advocating for the rights of her clients. Katherine’s interest in disputes places her clients with an advantage when drafting commercial documents and providing commercial advice.

Katherine strives to provide strategic solutions, and her key strengths lie in her commercial judgment and adaptability.

Prior to being admitted as a lawyer, Katherine worked for in public relations for the world’s largest TV production company, where her drive to forge long lasting client relationships derived.
